About the Legacy

Rebecca's many friends at Mexborough Spiritualist Church, within our local community, and her family decided they would like to keep Rebecca's memory alive and positive by doing something which we know she would have wanted, and that is to help wildlife. And so we started "Becky's Legacy", which is now a registered charity (charity reg number).

The money we raise in the name of Becky's Legacy, is for the benefit of the Seal and Marine Rescue Hospital at Scarborough Sealife Centre, and up to press, almost £2,000 has been raised for them.

In March 2008, a new Seal and Marine Rescue Hospital was opened at the centre and Rebecca’s Mum and Dad were invited to attend the opening. The Hospital has been dedicated to Rebecca and a plaque in her memory and a picture of her are on the door of the hospital.
